Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a single-player action adventure for PS5 that trades grounded Americana for a far-future world built around faith, isolation, and a hard-edged protagonist. The protagonist is played by Tati Gabrielle, a known name in the Naughty Dog universe, with roles in the tv and cinema adaptations of The Last of Us and Uncharted.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Release Date
Sony has not announced a date. Coverage in March said not to expect the game in 2026, pointing to 2027 at the soonest. Summer rumors floated late 2026, which the same roundups treated as speculation. It's a 'TBA', but Naughty Dog doesn't usually rush things (rightfully so).
Platforms
PS5 only at announcement. No PC version has been confirmed.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet premise
You play Jordan A. Mun, a veteran bounty hunter stranded on Sempiria, a planet that has been cut off from the outside for centuries. No one has left Sempiria in more than 600 years, and your job is to combine all your skills to break that streak and uncover what went wrong.

Gameplay and structure
Naughty Dog is promising the deepest gameplay in its history, with narrative ambition to match. Recent interviews hint at a move away from the studio’s traditional straight-line structure. Years earlier, Druckmann also talked about building the story with a writers’ room, a more TV-style approach than past projects. None of this replaces a proper gameplay demo, but it sets expectations.
Bottom line
Naughty Dog's take on a space adventure is definitely an exciting thing to look forward to, and the premise sure seems interesting. Overpromising is not usually a good thing when it comes to large productions, but with Naughty Dog we're probably in good hands. We'll keep you updated on this one.
