IO Interactive confirmed during today’s State of Play that Patrick Gibson is the new James Bond in 007 First Light, revealing extensive gameplay and the full voice lineup. The studio also set a March 27, 2026 launch across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2.
“It’s thrilling to be bringing this character to life in the gaming world,” Gibson said.
The cast features Lenny James as Bond’s mentor Greenway, Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny, and Noemie Nakai as Ms. Roth.
Fans had speculated for months that Gibson was the face and voice behind the character model. Today’s reveal closes that loop with on-the-record confirmation.
007 First Light is positioned as an origin story for Bond early in his MI6 career, in line with IO Interactive’s description of the project.
