Dwayne Johnson says ‘Jumanji 3’ starts filming in November

At a Toronto Q&A, Dwayne Johnson said cameras roll on the new Jumanji in November. He also name-checked his long-time partner Kevin Hart as part of the plan. The film follows 2017’s Welcome to the Jungle and 2019’s The Next Level, with Sony already holding December 11, 2026 for the sequel.

What this locks in

  • Timing: A late-2025 start keeps the holiday 2026 date on track.

  • Cast: Johnson and Hart are returning, with Jack Black and Karen Gillan expected back once deals close.

  • Director: Jake Kasdan is lined up to return, continuing the reboot run.

What we’re still waiting on

No plot or title yet. The last film’s mid-credits beat teased the game spilling into the real world, which remains the leading speculation. Expect formal production and casting notices as the start date approaches.
