Ocean’s 14: What We Know So Far

It's been almost 20 years since we've seen the Ocean's crew (Ocean's 13 was released in 2007). The crew is now expected to come back in the much rumored Ocean's 14, with Clooney recently announcing they have an approved budget and filming is expected to start in 2026. Here's everything we know (facts only).

Ocean's 14 release timeline

Clooney told press at the New York Film Festival that the studio approved the budget and that the team is working on schedules. He said they will “probably start in about nine or ten months” from the time of the interview (early October 2025). That points to a mid 2026 start if plans hold.

Ocean's 14 cast

No official cast list yet. The update came from Clooney, which suggests he is aboard. Trade reporting in 2024 said Warner Bros. wanted Brad Pitt back too, but the studio has not announced deals.

Director status

There is no signed director on the record. In September 2024, trades said the studio courted Edward Berger. In January 2025, insider reporting tied David Leitch to negotiations. Both items showed interest, not a closed deal. As of today, there is no official director announcement.

Script and story hints

Clooney said earlier this year that the new film centers on the crew feeling “too old” for the game, which gives you a sense of tone and stakes without giving away the mark or the score. Script details beyond that remain under wraps.

Production status

The project is in active development with budget approval reported by Clooney. The movie is reported as in active development, which aligns with the stage before an official greenlight announcement and start date. There is no filming location, no title tweak, and no release date on record.

How this relates to the Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling Ocean's prequel

This is a separate track. The prequel is set in the 1960s and has had its own director chatter and scheduling shifts. Do not confuse that film with Ocean’s 14, which continues the mainline crew’s story.

What is not confirmed

  • Studio announcement with a locked start date

  • Final director

  • Full returning cast and any new additions

  • Plot specifics, setting, and target release date

Until Warner Bros. issues a formal production start or casting release, consider all of the above as the current best snapshot.
