Tom Holland’s upcoming movies: confirmed, in development, and rumors

Tom Holland’s 2026 is... crazy. He is back in the suit for a fourth Spider-Man (first Spider-Man actor to get a fourth movie), then turns up in Nolan’s Greek epic 'They Odyssey' the same month. Beyond those, his new company Billy17 is seeding projects at Sony while older attachments linger in development. We split the list into what is real, what is moving, and what is still rumor.

Confirmed Tom Holland upcoming movies

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Tom Holland as Spiderman

  • Status: Filming

  • Release: July 31, 2026, in theaters

  • Director: Destin Daniel Cretton

  • Writers: Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers

  • What to know: Sony and Marvel revealed the title at CinemaCon, then rolled cameras in August with a first look at a redesigned suit in early August. Holland has said he is more hands-on this time, and filming has included location work in Glasgow plus stages in the U.K.

  • Cast notes: Holland returns as Peter Parker. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are widely reported to be back. Additional roles have been reported by trades, but Sony and Marvel have not issued a full cast list yet.

The Odyssey

Tom Holland in The Odyssey

  • Status: Post-production

  • Release: July 17, 2026, in theaters and IMAX

  • Director: Christopher Nolan

  • Role: Holland plays Telemachus, son of Matt Damon’s Odysseus

  • What to know: Nolan’s first film after Oppenheimer adapts Homer with an ensemble that includes Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, and Jon Bernthal. Principal photography ran across Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, and more. The date is set for mid-July 2026.

In development

Uncharted 2

  • Status: Development at Sony

  • What to know: Sony confirmed a sequel is in development following the 2022 hit. Producers have spoken about an active script. Timeline is unclear, and Holland’s 2026 slate suggests this will shoot later.

Fred Astaire biopic

Billy17 projects at Sony (Holland’s banner with Harry Holland and Will South)

  • Burnt

    • Status: In development

    • What to know: Original film written by Oscar winner Rodney Rothman. Envisioned as a Holland starring vehicle. Plot details are under wraps.

  • The Winner

    • Status: In development

    • What to know: Adaptation of Teddy Wayne’s novel. Slated as a Holland starring project, produced with Amy Pascal.

Rumors, expectations, and what is not set

Avengers Doomsday Logo

  • Avengers films: Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18, 2026, with a massive ensemble. Holland’s participation has been speculated and debated, but Marvel has not confirmed him for the film. File this as unconfirmed.

  • James Bond chatter: Periodically resurfaces because fans think he fits the age profile. There is no credible trade reporting that he is in the mix.

Quick calendar

  • July 17, 2026: The Odyssey

  • July 31, 2026: Spider-Man: Brand New Day

  • TBA: Uncharted 2

  • TBA: Fred Astaire biopic

  • TBA: Burnt, The Winner, The Rosie Project

Bottom line

If you only track two titles, mark July 2026. Holland anchors The Odyssey in mid-July, then swings back two weeks later in Brand New Day. Everything else is either developing or rumor. When the next one crosses from “talk” to “dated,” we will move it up.
