First look: Hemsworth’s Geralt and Fishburne’s Regis
Netflix’s new clip and photos put Hemsworth’s White Wolf front and center, complete with the gravelly Geralt voice and a wraith fight that sets the tone. The stills also give a clean reveal of Laurence Fishburne as Regis, the worldly barber-surgeon with a secret history. We also see Ciri with a sharpened look, Yennefer back in the game, Jaskier on the road, and a few ominous glimpses of new monsters.
Which The Witcher books does Season 4 cover?
The next chapter begins the show’s push through Baptism of Fire and into The Tower of the Swallow. Expect a story about separation and found families as Geralt takes to the road with unlikely allies, Ciri faces harder choices far from home, and Yennefer navigates war-torn politics. Season 5 is set to complete the arc with Lady of the Lake.
Cast: who’s back and who’s new in The Witcher?
Returning: Liam Hemsworth (Geralt), Freya Allan (Ciri), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Joey Batey (Jaskier), plus familiar faces from the Continent.
New in S4: Laurence Fishburne as Regis. Earlier casting updates also added Sharlto Copley (Leo Bonhart), James Purefoy (Skellen), and Danny Woodburn (Zoltan).
Showrunner: Lauren Schmidt Hissrich continues to steer the final two seasons.
Will The Witcher end with Season 5?
Netflix confirmed seasons 4 and 5 are produced back to back. Season 4 wrapped months ago. Season 5 is underway and will close the story. That schedule should reduce the gap between seasons and let the adaptation land on its feet.
